As part of its contribution to a deliberate mindset shift from spending to investment and birth a new generation of investors that will dominate Nigeria’s investment horizon over the next few decades, Investdata Consulting Limited has made arrangement for its maiden Teenage and Youths Investing summit.
The summit, scheduled for 10am prompt on Saturday 15, 2026, at LUXE XXXV, 35, Oyemekun Street, off College Road, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos, will be hosted by Ambrose Omordion, Chief Research Officer, Investdata Consulting Limited.
Confirmed speakers include: Morayo Jaiyeola, Head, Investment Advisory, Meristem Stockbrokers Limited, who will speak on “The investor Mindset: Shift from being a spender to an owner of assets; while “Emotional Control: Learn how to handle fear and greed (the #1 wealth killer), will be handed by Kanayo John, head, Research and Intelligence, Imperial Asset Managers Limited. Others include the ABC of Money and Master “The 8th Wonder (Compound interest) by Oloyede Omoyeni Abolanle of Investment Management Associate; Stock Market Decoded: Understanding stocks, Mutual Funds and business valuation in ABC terms by Taiwo O. Adekeye, an Investor; and Emotional Control: Real-World Strategy: Practical steps to start investing immediately with their piggy savings by tuned Jeariogbe, an analyst with Investdata Consulting.
A statement by Investdata quoted Omordion as saying the summit, as part of introducing the youths to wealth creation and redistribution through the capital market, will enable participants understand the dynamics of stocks, mutual funds and business valuation in simple terms. They will also gain practical knowledge on how to start investing immediately from their piggy savings and watch their wealth grow gradually.
According to him, “a 15-year old who learns this now has a 15-year head start over an adult who starts at 30. Without this, they risk falling for scams, living on paychecks and working for money instead the other way round.”
Continuing, Omordion urged parents: “Don’t let your child inherit your money without inheriting your wisdom. The real gift isn’t the money in the bank—it’s the understanding of how the Naira got there.”
