The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has granted an application for a three-month extension of time to hold its annual general meeting with effect from August 21, 2019.
Although no reason was given for the request for the extension, it may not be unconnected with the recent ownership change that necessitated a change in membership of the company’s board.
In a letter dated July 17, and signed by M. H. Aliyu, for the Registrar General, titled: “Re:Request for extension of time – 40th anniversary general meeting,” the commission said the approval was pursuant to S.213(1)(b) Companies and Allied Matters Act CAP C20 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.
The company subsequently notified the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) of the extension, promising to notify the exchange of the new date for the AGM.
