Days After Suspension By Jo’burg Exchange, Oando To Present 2022 Account Before July 31

Barely 9 days after announcing the suspension of trading on its shares by the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), over failure to submit its audited account for the full-year ended December 31, 2022 (READ), the board of Oando Plc, on Tuesday said it has been finalized, and approved by the board for submission to the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) preparatory to presentation.

A filing on the NGX by Ayotola Jagun (Ms.), the Chief Compliance Officer and Company Secretary, blamed the delay of the 2022 financials on the failure to finalize it.

“Having approved the 2022 Audited Financial Statements, the audit of the 2023 AFS has now commenced, and the Company is committed to ensuring that the 2023 AFS is published on or before July 31, 2024”, Jagun assured.

While appologizing for any inconviniences caused by the delay, Jagun assured that the interim results for 2023 will also be released to the market soon after the 2022 Accounts are published.

She assured the general public that the group “is doing everything possible to ensure full compliance with its regulatory obligations within the shortest possible time.
