Diversification: Julius Berger To Unveil First Cashew Processing Plant In Lagos Q2

Further to its planned diversification into the agricultural sector announced on  September 23, 2021, and subsequently approved by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting, the board of Julius Berger Plc, on Tuesday said it will commission its pioneer cashew processing plant in Epe, Lagos in the second quarter of this financial year.

The company, in the notice to investors, shareholders and traders, recalled that its “leading technical expertise, innovation and proven record of reliability delivering construction solution to the highest standards,” assuring that all of these are being deployed to its agro processing activities.

The notice  titled “progress statement on first diversification activity,” by C.E. Madueke (Mrs), the Company Secretary, said Julius Berger is pleased with and indeed excited about its progress with the initiative,” reiterating that the diversification direction would support the continued success of the group in future.

More so, it added that the effort aligns with the strategic objectives of the government to stimulate value creation in Nigeria.
