Amidst insinuations that pressure may have been piled by the Presidency, there are reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) panel in charge of the governorship primary election in Lagos state insists the exercise is yet to begin.
The committee opposed the option A4 mode used in the election, preferring the secret ballot system, even as many wonder why the error was not corrected at the beginning and had to wait until the exercise was deemed completed across various centres since morning.
This is coming also amidst report that incumbent Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was humbled in the exercise, contrary to the desire of President Muhammadu Buhari, who had appealed to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Governor and strongman of Lagos politics.
This is coming amidst reports that Ambode’s deputy, Mrs. Idiat Adebule voted his rival- Babajide Sanwo-Olu, just as the Information and Strategy Commissioner reportedly dumped his principal for the preferred candidate while addressing partymen in his ward on Monday.
