FBN Holdings Says No Court Order Stopping Annual General Meeting

The board of FBN Holdings, on Thursday debunked media reports that it has received a court order stopping its annual general meeting slated for August 15.
In a statement by Adewale Arogundade, its acting company secretary, confirmed that the narrative is false, as the company was yet to be served with any such court order.
FBN Holdings assured the shareholders “that the AGM shall hold on August 15, 2023, as planned,” urging them to attend and participate at the meeting actively.
The AGM, it stressed, “is a statutory meeting of shareholders that must be held in accordance with the law, further to which the company will notify the regulators and the public if there is any lawful order to refrain the company from conducting same.”
