Following the smearing of Justice Walter Onnoghen, Chief Justice of Nigeria, Governor Nyesom Wike of River State, on Sunday said the Federal Government has perfected plans to blackmail about 200 judges of the Federal High and Appeal Courts.
In a series of tweets on Sunday through his personal handle @GovWike, the governor, who called for prayer for Nigeria’s judiciary under siege from churches, he said the plan involves harassment of any judge that fails to follow their evil plot… with failse allegations and persecution.”
Wike said he intercepted a discussion where an unnamed Minister was telling a gathering that All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government, he continued, “has gone to the Code of Conduct Bureau to get the asset declaration forms of 200 judges.
