FMDQ Securities Exchange Limited (FMDQ Exchange), on Tuesday, announced the quotation of Dangote Cement Plc’s ₦34bn Series 15 and ₦66bn Series 16 Commercial Paper (CP) notes, as part of its ₦150bn Domestic CP Issuance Programme.
The listing of Dangote Cement’s CP issuance, the largest by a non-financial institution in Nigeria, it noted in its statement, is yet another testament of the efficient listings and quotations service offered by FMDQ Exchange.
This, it noted, is in its continued efforts to position the Nigerian capital market and enable it support corporates and businesses seeking to raise capital to finance their funding needs.
The listing, FMDQ continued, is despite the economic headwinds associated with the transition of businesses into the “new normal,” in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, and comes against the backdrop of the debt issuances on the Exchange.
These include the recently quoted N30bn Flour Mills of Nigeria CP notes, Sterling Bank’s ₦15bn CP notes; and the United Capital ₦5.32bn CP notes, amongst others.
The statement stressed that FMDQ Holdings Plc (FMDQ Group) has through its subsidiary, FMDQ Exchange, continued to provide the required support to governments, corporates, and individuals delivering innovative and dependable capital market solutions.
As with previous notes issued under the Programme and like all other securities listed, quoted and traded on the FMDQ Exchange platform, the Dangote Cement CPs shall be availed global visibility through FMDQ Exchange’s website and systems, as well as through their inclusion in the FMDQ Daily Quotations List, in order to ensure information transparency.
