Men of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad, on Wednesday morning, prevented what would have been yet another case of suicide on the popular third mainland bridge into the Lagoon.
The man (name withheld), according to RRS in a tweet via its official handle was prevented from taking his life.
“We had a little chat with him and he revealed that he’s a graduate and a chartered accountant.
The man was handed over to Adekunle Police Station, Yaba, Lagos, “who have contacted his family.”
This is the second time since Tuesday, January 15, 2019, the RRS operatives are foiling a suicide attempt.
Last year alone, there were about six high-profile cases of people plunging into the Lagoon, a situation that may have made the RRS operatives become more vigilant.
