Med-View Writes NSE, Explains Rationale For Sacking 60 Staff

The board of Med-View Airlines Plc, on Monday wrote the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) to explain the true situation concerning information in the rumour mill concern its state of affairs and the true situation leading to the sacking of about 60 workers.
In the notice by Abdulahi Adam Abdulahi and in line with Rule 17.10 of the NSE Rulebook of the exchange, 2015 (Issuers’ Rule) relating to rumour, Med-View said that araising from the prevailing economic situation, it is currently restructuring to fully maximize its operations.
This, it said, would enable adequate preparations for the challenges ahead.
Already, Abdulahi said “management is working assiduously to ensure that two of its aircrafts that are undergoing C-Check will be added to its fleet in the next one month to boost its operations.”
The 60 staff “were therefore required to step aside as a result of downsizing with a genuine attention to recall them back as soon as situation improves as stated in the letter to the affected staff.”
The statement said the decision on the exercise “though tough, is predicated on the need to achieve the best result with a minimum but adequate work force.”
