N22.68bn: FG To Begin Verification Of Ex-Nigeria Airways Workers Oct 15

The Federal Government says all is now set for the Verification Exercise of ex-workers of Nigeria Airways Limited (in liquidation) simultaneously across three geopolitical zones from October 15 to 22, 2018.
According to a notice by the Federal Ministry of Finance, the exercise will be conducted by the Presidential Initiative on Continuous Audit (PICA).
The Federal Government recently approved N22.68bn for the payment, after verification in Lagos, Kano and Enugu centres.
The Lagos centre is located at the Sky-Power Catering, Ikeja; that of Kano will hold at ABC (former Nigeria Airways Office), Bank Road; while Enugu Centre is located at Villa Toscana Hotel, No. 1, Aguleri Street, Independent Layout, Enugu.
Beneficiaries are expected to come along with documents such as: letters of appointment, confirmation, last promotion and retirement; NAL identity card; other means of identification such as National ID card, international passport and drivers’ license. They are also to come with bank account details; as well as letter of administration to be presented by Next-of-kin in the case of deceased beneficiaries.
Copies of the various items will be submitted to the verification committee; just as specific dates for the capture of each beneficiary will be indicated to ensure they are captured in an orderly manner.
Beneficiaries, the notice signed by Dr. M.K. Dikwa, Permanent Secretary of PICA continued, will be subjected to biometric data capture; and should come with copies
