The board of energy giant- Oando Plc, will next Friday, April 29, 2022, meet in Lagos to consider and approve the group’s audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2019, along with other corporate actions.

In a statement filed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited portal on Thursday, and signed by Ayotola Jagun, its Company Secretary, Oando Plc said thereafter, the approved result “will be submitted to the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria for its approval and will thereafter be published in accordance with the Rules of the Exchange.

Investdata News recalls that Oando Plc had on March 30, published a timetable for the release of its outstanding financials to the NGX Exchange, beginning with the 2019 audited results which it said was at its final stage and would be published on, or before April 30. Thereafter, it said the company’s “management, and the auditors will approach the Financial Reporting Council for final approval and release of the financial statements.”

The March 30 filing titled “update on the publication of the audited financial statement of Oando Plc,” particularly explained that the 2019 “audit is taking longer than expected due to the mandatory audit of post-balance sheet events that have occurred subsequent to the 2019 reporting period.

The group also hinted of plans to release Oando’s 2021 unaudited and audited financials on August 5 and October 31, 2022, respectively; while those of prior year will be available on May 3, and July 31.
