In its latest filing on the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Thursday, First HoldCo Plc, parent company of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, showed that Calvados Global Services Limited, related to Olufemi Otedola, a significant shareholder purchased a total of 369,986,122 units of shares at N40.06 per share valued at N14.821 billion.
This is in addition to the 25,565,289 shares earlier purchased at N31 each by the same shareholder on September 23, bringing Otedolas direct and indirect stake in the group to 7,138,023,244 units, representing 17.04% of the 41,877,841,590 issued share capital.
So far, RC Investment Management Limited a special purpose vehicle incorporated 2023, however remains the highest shareholder with its 10,433,909,058 shares representing a 24.92% stake.
RC Investment Management, linked to Samuel Babatunde Sule, believed to be acting as a trustee for a CBN-endorsed deal to facilitate the exits former major shareholder- Oba Otudeko, thereby resolving the lingering leadership disputes in the group.
The is believed to have purchased shares worth over N323 billion from sellers like Barbican Capital and Leadway Group, linked to both Otudeko and Oye Hassan-Odukale respectively.
