Tariff Adjustment: MTNN Committed To Nigeria’s Digital Transformation Agenda- CEO

Karl Toriola, Managing Director and Chief Executive of telecommunication giant- MTN Nigeria, says the company is committed to the country’s digital transformation agenda and the need to drive inclusive growth for all stakeholders in the years ahead.

The assurance was against the backdrop of the approval of 50 percent tariff hike approved for GSM operators by industry regulator- Nigeria’s National Communications Commission (NCC), almost 12 years since the latest approval hike in 2013.

Toriola, according to a notification by Uto Ukpanah, Company Secretary of MTNN, appreciated the continued support of the Federal Government and regulators for their continued support in ensuring the telecoms sector remains sustainable.

The recent “adjustment represents an important step towards addressing the impacts of the prevailing economic challenges on our business and industry. It will enable us to maintain the critical investments required to deliver reliable, high-quality services to Nigerians,” he assured.
