In its bid to help cushion financial hardships associated with the lockdown arising from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the management of Wapic Insurance Plc, on Monday announced an offer of 15% discount to health workers on new policies to health workers across the country.
The discount on insurance cover taken up in 2020, according to a statement by Mary Agha, the company secretary, covers personal accident, householder insurance, and motor insurance, adding that the offer is for the tenor of the policies.
The stated quoted the Managing Director, Mrs. Adeyinka Adekoya, as saying the “corporate gesture is in appreciation of the noble effort of our health workers, who are in the frontline of the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic”.
The discount, which does not apply at renewal, in line with regulations, is coming a week after Wapic Insurance announced a refund of premium paid by customers with active motor vehicle policies during the lockdown period
