Following the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly elections initially scheduled for February 16, 2019, the Independent National Electoral Commission in a seeming defence of its decision released a statement.
As such ahead of the rescheduled elections, the commission reeled out the following data that must keep in view, baring any changes in the days ahead:

New Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) produced: 14.28m
Number Collected: 10.87m, or 76.12%
Ballot Papers Printed: 421.7m
Leaves of result forms (Presidential): 13.6m
Ad hoc Staff trained: About 1m
Political Parties: 91
Number of Candidates: 23,316
Polling Units: 119,973
Expected: Over 84 million voters
Smart Card Readers: About 180,000
