The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Monday evening described as false claims that it issued contracts for construction works and special financial intervention.

It linked such claims to individuals who are solely motivated by the desire to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians, urging the public to disregard them.

In a statement by Hakama Sidi Ali (Mrs.), its Acting Director, Corporate Communications, the CBN reiterated that “in line with the focus of its current administration, it has discontinued direct development interventions and special projects funding.”

Furthermore, it said public notices for has such interventions on social media platforms or any other news outlet was not authorised.
