The Nigerian Exchange Limited says it has listed an additional 15,000,000,000 ordinary shares of Fortis Global Insurance Plc on its Daily Official List on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
This, it noted arose from the company’s conversion of a ₦12 billion debt to equity at ₦0.80 per share.
This brings Fortis Global’s total issued shares to 18,227,757,647 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each.
As reported earlier, FTGINSURE emerged as the best-performing stock in July with a remarkable 136.36% appreciation.
Investdata News recalls that the opened the month of July at a price of ₦3.96 per share following a temporary suspension in trading mid-June for a share capital reconstruction resulting in the significant price movement and eventual re-listing on July 2, 2026.\
After the successful completion of the exercise, the company delisted its previous 12.91 billion ordinary shares and replacing them with 3.23 billion reconstructed shares.
Consequently, the newly structured shares were readmitted for listing at an technically adjusted price of ₦3.96 each, which became the new opening price for July trading. However, profit-taking and market corrections subsequently pulled the price down to ₦2.34 at the end of trading for the month.
