Following the non-passage of the 2017 Appropriation Bill and with the first quarter ending on Friday, March 31, the Accountant-General of the Federation, Alhaji Idris Ahmed, has issued a circular extending the tenure of Capital elements in the 2016 budget to May 5, 2017, except the 2017 budget is passed before then.
Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun announced the decision on Thursday in a statement by Salisu Na’inna Dambatta, Director of Information in the Ministry.
The statement urged all “Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies to take note of the content of the Circular.”
