The management of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), on Tuesday announced the signing of a US$250m five-year senior unsecured loan facility from Deutsche Bank AG of Germany.
In a statement to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), ETI (Ecobank Group) said “the Public Investment Company (PIC) of South Africa, one of the major institutional shareholders of ETI, is providing full credit support to Deutsche Bank in this transaction via a sub-participation of risk.”
The new facility, the statement by Mireille Bokpe-Anoumou of ETI’s Group Communications continued, “will be used primarily to refinance maturing facilities.”
