The Nigerian Air Force, on Tuesday announced the untimely death of Air Chief Marshal Alex Sabundu Badeh, the 18th Chief of Defence Staff, who served under the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Badeh, who was born on January 10, 1957, according to Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, Director of Public Relations and Information Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force (DOPRI), died “from gunshot wounds sustained when his vehicle was attacked while returning from his farm along Abuja-Keffi Road.”
While announcing the demise on behalf of the NAF, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar, Daramola prayed “that the Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest.”
The slain officer who hails from Adamawa State, North East Nigeria, was Nigeria’s 15th Chief of Air Staff and retired after 38 years in service.
