Following last week’s hand over of Keystone Bank Limited by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Sigma Golf-Riverbank Consortium, its new owner has announced the constitution of a board as part of what it tagged a transitional governance arrangement.
The five-man board is chaired by Alhaji Umaru H. Modibbo; while Hafiz Bakare and Mrs. Yvonne Isichei, who are presently executive directors of bank would remain as part of the transitional governance arrangement.
Bakare replaces Mr. Phillip Ikeazor, who fully disengages from the bank, as acting managing director and chief executive.
Also, Mrs. Titilayo Tairat Adebiyi and Bulus Bunken Dan-Habu are non-executive directors of the board with effect from April 1, 2017, subject to approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
A statement to customers of the bank, assured that “the constitution of a transitional board is a further step towards repositioning the bank to play actively and competitively in the banking industry and to serve you better.”
