The board of Nigerian Breweries Plc, on Tuesday said the 20,706,894,542 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each allotted from its Rights Issue of 22,607,491,232 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each at N26.50 each have been formally listed on the Daily Official List of the Nigerian Exchange Limited[ on Monday, December 30, 2024.
The new shares, it said in a notice by Uaboi Agbebaku, its Company Secretary, increased its total outstanding shares listed on the NGX have from 10,276,132,378 ordinary shares to 30,983,026,920 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each.
Investdata News recalls that on December 12, 2024, Nigerian Breweries Plc said the Rights Issue was 91.59% subscribed.
The company also issued a notice of clearance of the basis of allotment by the Securities and Exchange Commission for the allotment of the Rights Issue through the NGX.
Following the success of the issue, the statement said the Registrars to the company, First Registrars & Investor Services Limited will credit the Central Securities Clearing System Plc (CSCS) account of successful allottees who have indicated their CSCS account details on their respective acceptance forms with the shares allotted to them not later than Wednesday, 18th December 2024.
Also, it had assured that surplus subscription monies would be returned by First Registrars no later than Wednesday, December 18, 2024, being five working days after clearance of the basis of allotment by the SEC.
Agbebaku also hinted that those applicants without CSCS accounts will have their shares credited at the CSCS using a Registrar Identification Number (RIN), in line with the SEC Directive on Dematerialization of Share Certificates not later than Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
