Photo: Kwara, BUA Group Hold Talks On 20,000ha Lafiagi Sugar Refinery

The Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the BUA Group headquarters in Lagos where he discussed with the Founder and Executive Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, to discuss the continuing partnership between both parties regarding BUA’s 20,000ha Lafiagi Sugar Plantation & Refinery in the state.

Upon completion, according to a terse statement by BUA, the project “will produce 200,000 tonnes of refined sugar, 20 million litres of ethanol annually and 35 megawatts of power from bagasse and is the largest sugar investment in Southern Nigeria.”
