Sanni Replaces David-Borha As CEO Of Stanbic IBTC Holdings

The board of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc, on Thursday announced the appointment of Mr. Yinka Sanni, chief executive of its flagship banking subsidiary as new managing director with effect from January 19, 2017.
He replaces Mrs. Sola David-Borha, who according to a letter to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), signed by Chidi Okezie, its Company Secretary, who resigned to take up higher responsibility with the Standard Bank Group, the parent company in South Africa.
Specifically, Mrs. David-Borha, is now Chief Executive (Rest of Africa) with Standard Bank.
Sanni, a graduate of Agricultural Economics from the University of Nigeria Nsukka; Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, besides being an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and Boston’s Advanced Management Programme, brings with him over 26 years of experience in financial services- covering banking, pension and asset management.
Sanni, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria, has been replaced by Dr. Demola Sogunle, who was elevated from the position of Deputy Chief Executive of the bank.
