Wakanow Names Okubanjo Group CFO In Ongoing Restructuring

The board of travel tech agency Wakanow, has appointed Olubayode Okubanjo as the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) effective January 2023, in what it said is an ongoing restructuring exercise.
Okubanjo, a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, was until his appointment the company’s Chief Financial Controller, before which he was a banker, and supervised various functions such as financial control, treasury and international operations. He holds an MBA in Finance and Investment from Ahmadu Bello University
Speaking on the appointment, Bayo Adedeji, the Group CEO of Wakanow Group, who was appointed some months ago, as part of the restricting exercise noted the new CFO’s “track record of consistently stellar performances at the helm of the finance function at Wakanow.
“We are confident that his knowledge, experience and expertise will be vital in Wakanow’s tilt towards global dominance in the travel industry. As Group CFO, Bayode will further consolidate on the successes achieved while charting new milestones for Wakanow and its subsidiaries as he oversees our financial operations at the group level,” he added.
