In an apparent bid to reassure investors and traders that there is no cause for worry, the board of Access Holdings Plc on Tuesday said it has received the approval of the Nigerian Exchange Limited extending the deadline to submit its audited financial statements for the year=ended December 31, 2024.
Recall that shares of Accesscorp slipped N2.10, or 9.27%, close to the maximum 10% from its N22.60 per share opening price, in what may not be related to the delay in releasing its audited financial statement for 2024.
The group, according to the notice by Sunday Ekwochi, the Company Secretary, “has been granted a further extension of time to file the result on or before April 20, 2025, subject to the CBN’s approval of the result.”
Already, he assured, the result has “been submitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria for approval.
“While awaiting the CBN’s review and approval of the Result which may be impacted by the public holidays,” the group anticipates that it may not meet the extended deadline for filing the Result with NGX, hence the need for a further extension.
The company also hinted that “insiders are reminded that the earlier declared Closed Period concerning transactions on its securities remains until 24 hours after the release of the Result.
