As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, BUA Cement Plc, on Tuesday announced a donation of six units of 500KVA transformers, as well as two patrol vehicles to boost electricity supply and security in Okpella Community, Edo State, respectively
Speaking on the donations, Engr. Yusuf Binji, the Managing Director/CEO of BUA Cement Plc, said the company takes CSR as a critical part of its DNA, hence the commitment to the development of host communities wherever it operates.
The transformers, he believes, will ease the burden of access to electricity being experienced in Okeplla, assuring that BUA will install them on the community’s behalf, adding that the security vehicles help boost the capacity of the security agencies within the community to provide a more secure environment for the residents and businesses.
