The board of FCMB Group, on Monday, announced plans to audit its financial result for the Q3 ended September 30, 2019.
This, the group said in a statement to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), by Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adedibu, “is due to the commencement of the interim audit of the company’s commercial banking subsidiary, First City Monument Bank Limited for the period…”
Consequently, the statement said the consolidated third quarter 2019 results of FCMB Group Plc, will be released on The Nigerian Stock Exchange on or before 29 November 2019.”
In another statement to the NSE, also on Monday, FCMB Group said its primary regulator- the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has approved the appointment of Olufemi Badeji as executive director, corporate and investment bank, with effect from Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
Badeji, a graduate of Electrical Engineering, with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, USA, and MSc In Electrical Engineer, specialization in computer and communication networks from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Manchester, USA. He also obtained an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania in 2006.
With over 15 years of investment bank experience spanning the USA, Nigeria and South Africa, he was with the defunct Lehman Brothers and Houlihan Lokey in the USA, from which he returned to Nigeria in 2009, when he joined FCMB Capital Markets Limited, as Vice President. He joined Rand Merchant Bank in September 2011, rising to the position of Head, Corporate Finance for Nigeria, responsible for growing and developing client relationships, as well as origination, execution, and management of transactions.
He has over the years been involved in raising both debt and equity capital, corporate restructuring, private equity transactions and providing financial advice to institutions in industries like architecture, business services, fast-moving consumer goods, financial services, infrastructure, telecoms, IT services, oil and gas, the public sector, real estate and specialty finance.
