Poised to sustain the gains of existing peace in Nigeria’s oil-rich Niger Delta region, which saw Vice President Yemi Osinbajo visiting states in the geo-political zone, the Federal Government is hosting stakeholders.
Tweets by the Presidency on Thursday morning noted that the meeting is “in continuing with the implementation of our New Vision for the Niger Delta.”
The Niger Delta Dialogue meeting, the tweets noted, “will discuss and review, in conjunction with the states, job creation efforts across the Niger Delta.”
The meeting is also being attended by government officials from states in the region such as Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Enugu, Imo, Ondo and Rivers. Agencies attending the meeting included the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
