In line with its mandate, as the official liquidator of failed banks in the country, the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), on Monday said it has concluded preparations to pay the depositors and ex-staff of the defunct Peak Merchant Bank their first liquidation dividend.
A statement by the Director, Communication and Public Affairs, NDIC, Bashir A. Nuhu, said the verification of claims by the depositors and ex-staff, started from Monday, September 18, to October 16, 2023.
He explained that “the verification exercise would enable depositors of the defunct bank to cross-check and ascertain their account information as well as balances with the bank as at closure.”
The corporation enjoined all eligible stakeholders of the defunct bank to visit any NDIC office, or www.ndic.gov.ng while the duly completed verification forms can also be sent to through: claimscomplaints@ndic.gov.ng
