Our 650,000bpd Refinery’ll Be Commissioned Before May 29, Dangote Group Assures

The management of Dangote Industries Limited, on Tuesday assured that its much awaited 650,000 barrels per day Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lekki, Lagos State, will be commissioned before President Muhammadu Buhari formally leaves office on May 29.

A statement by Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief, Branding & Communications Officer for the group, said the project was not one of those to be commissioned by the President during his two-day visit to Lagos, the nation’s commercial and economic capital, which ended Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

He assured that the public will be duly informed and invited to the epic event when the time comes.

Chiejina listed projects commissioned by the President during his two-day visit to include the Lekki Deep Sea Port; 32-Metric Tonnes Lagos Rice Mill, Imota; 18.75km Eleko to Epe T Junction Express road; John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Onikan, as well as the Blue Line Rail (Phase 1) from Marina to Mile 2; and groundbreaking for the Phase 2 from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko, among others.
