Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, at the weekend, unveiled the Financial Centre for Sustainability, Lagos, at Victoria Island home of FMDQ.
He was joined at the occasion by Ms Mary Uduk, acting Director-General of the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bola Onadele Koko, the MD/CEO of FMDQ Securities Exchange.
FMDQ is to sere as secretariat, coordinating activities of the financial centre, liaising with the international network
@FC4SNetwork and other members, tow inspire a greener Nigeria.
At the event, the Lagos State Governor signed the declaration to advance green and sustainable finance in the Nigerian financial market.
Commenting via his personal Twitter handle, Governor Sanwo-Olu said Lagos has therefore “joined New York, London, Geneva, Seoul, Shanghai and 18 other international financial centres as a member of the International Financial Centre for Sustainability Network (FC4S Network). I attended the launch with other leaders of the financial services sectors.”
