After two weeks, report of investigations into allegations of fraud against Lawal Babachir, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Ayodele Oke, suspended Director-General of the Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA), is to be submitted on Monday, according to a statement by the Presidency.
While Lawal is being investigated over allegations of due process violations in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE), Oke is under probe in connection with funds totaling about N13bn in Naira and foreign currencies discovered at an apartment in Osborne Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.
A statement from the office of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday said Presidential Investigative Committee set up by President Muhammadu Buhari, chaired by the Vice President “is scheduled to present its reports to the President on Monday, May 8, 2017.”
