Uduk Performs Groundbreaking Of SEC Staff Estate

The management of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), on Monday assured staff of initiatives to ensure that they remain dedicated to their duty.
Speaking at the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the SEC Staff Housing Project being driven by the SEC Multi-purpose and Co-operative Society, Acting Director-General of the SEC, Ms. Mary Uduk, who expressed pleasure at the project take off, assured that it would be completed in record time.
According to her, “we are aware that when people work in an organisation, they want to do better and have something to look up to after retirement. I believe that this will help us and provide some form of support to us long after we have left the services of the Commission.
“This investment will help us in one way or the other in the future. We don’t all have to live here; some of us will live here, while it could become a source of income to others after we have retired.”
She urged the society’s executive committee to be patient with members and strive to carry everyone along, while also urging them to ensure that the project is for the benefit of all staff.
President of the SEC Multi-Purpose Society, Abulrahman Ahmed, expressed gratitude to the management of the commission for its support and commitment to staff welfare and in the right frame of mind to carry out their duties.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the project tagged “The SEC Court,” is the outcome of that support and conducive working environment, he stressed, commending the immediate past executive committee for the good work done, assuring that his team will to do more for the staff.
Also speaking, immediate Past President of the society, Frank Aul, also commended the SEC management, while appreciating the confidence reposed on his team by staff who subscribed to the project.
For Andy Morkah, Chief Executive, Property Vault Limited, developers of the estate, said the vision of his organisation is to ensure that the SEC estate is the best in the environment, besides ensuring that it is delivered in record time.
“We have already done the design, approval for the layout is 90 percent done and we are currently awaiting final approval. We will put in our best to ensure that we deliver properties that everyone will be proud of,” he stressed.
