United Capital Gets A+ Rating, Stable Outlook

Leading national Credit Rating Agency (CRA), DataPro®, regulated by the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), has assigned an A+ rating, an indication of low risk to United Capital Plc with a stable outlook for the year 2020/2021.

In a statement by Abimbola Adeseyoju, Managing Director/CEO of DataPro, the rating also “shows very good financial strength, operating performance and business profile, when compared to the standards established by DataPro.

“This company, in our opinion, has the ability to meet its ongoing obligations,” the statement added, noting that its rating followed an assessment of the company’s financial performance, corporate governance and risk management, risk factors, regulatory environment, (as well as the) future outlook of its current healthy profile in the medium to long-term period.”

The rating of United Capital, Adeseyoju explained, “is supported by its diversified revenue sources, high-quality assets and investment profile,” following United Capital got a short-term rating of A1 indicating good credit quality and satisfactory capacity for timely payment of financial commitments

DataPro noted that the rating carries a maximum shelf life of 12 calendar months, in line with international best practices.
