Ambode Signs N812.998bn Lagos 2017 Budget Into Law

Following the passage of the Lagos Government’s 2017 spending plan by the State House of Assembly, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, on Monday gave his ascent to the Bill christened “Golden Jubilee Budget.”
In a series of tweets on his personal handle: @AkinwunmiAmbode, the governor called for the corporation and understanding of all tax payers to ensure the “successfully implement this budget.”
Ambode, who was accompanied by the Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and the Secretary to the State Government, Hakeem Bello said: “our government is committed to prudent financial management and equitable allocation of resources for the general good and will ensure proper fiscal discipline in the implementation of this Appropriation Law.
“Our goal is to consolidate on the modest milestones recorded propel Lagos to a path of prosperity,” he added, stressing that the 2017 Budget is in line with the state’s 2012-2025 Development Plan.
