Quoted companies with December year-end are statutorily expected to release their audited earnings reports for full-year within 90 days in line with the post-listing rules of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
This falls within the first quarter of every year making the earnings season for this period, special due to high number of companies that reward their shareholders for having confidence and faith in the management.
This period had remained the peak of all seasons where major stocks in the financial services, consumer goods, industrial goods, oil and Gas release their scorecards to the market.
On this note, it is expected that short-term traders that understand and know how to profit from the earnings season would be in stocks expected to beat market expectations by posting good numbers.
And when such expectations are not met when the results finally hit the market, you must exit quickly to cut losses.
Due to irregular date of release by many companies as revealed in our research, some of the companies may release a day before or after the dates in the table below.
Let the table give your insight when these companies are expected to hit the market with their earnings report.
